January 2021 is almost over and what a year we had with 2020. I would like to give you a review of the past year and what is the latest here at Campbell Clinic.

During the Covid lockdown, we were only open for a few days and I had to make a hard decision to shut a few departments down, mostly the diagnostic ultrasound and chiropractic adjustment. We are now finally back to searching for a suitable adjusting doctor and I hope to find someone who will be a good fit in the future.

The extra personal time during the quarantine drove me a bit crazy. But the best way I could spend that time was with my mother so we took many walks at the Memorial park, had breakfast and lunches together and watched a ton of movies at home. Her health has improved quite a lot since she received treatment in Colombia in 2019 and her A1C has dropped from 10.8 to 8.1. Some of you know that a few years ago, flu nearly killed her and she couldn’t walk for a month. Seeing her improvement, her friends and our family have been asking me “what the hell did you do to your mother?” The plan was return to Colombia for more therapy but Colombia also shut its country during the Covid. I plan on returning in near future to visits friends there and get my mom treated again.

Two years ago, I had to step back into the clinic’s day to day activities due to three doctors leaving for various personal reasons all in two weeks period. If I have taken a long time to reply to you, this is the reason why. [And I apologize!] Now I am transitioning back to the position of research, development, marketing and training. I have a few exciting new services in the works, including peptide therapy. I’ve packed on some serious weight during the lockdown and have started diet and exercise and added a few peptides to help with glucose metabolism. We have been using BPC 157 with osteoarthritic patients with favorable outcome and I hope to roll out other protocols to help with various other conditions.

Perhaps the biggest change I can report is the fact that I’ve become a mother. This has been a four year journey that I almost gave up. My father’s passing in 2014 triggered something in me and I had a desire so strong to have a child of my own. I was 42 years old when I walked into the first fertility clinic where a doctor told me I was too old and that the chance of me having a child was slim. In summary, I was treated at 5 different clinics multiple times.. and just when I was ready to give up, my daughter was born a month before I turned 46 via gestational surrogacy. Motherhood has been unbelievable, first, why didn’t someone tell me this is how much you love your children? I am overworked, sleep deprived, and have little time for myself but my heart is full of joy and I’ve never been so happy in my life. Before I used to wonder, where did time go? But now I see time on my baby’s growth. The wee baby is now almost sitting up right and teething lately, and she’s also been showing much of interest in what I am eating. And I can’t help but to feel a bit sad when I have to retire her onesies to bigger size.
